Scruffy, Indie folk-rock from Transylvania

That’s right. My Monsters In Rome will be featured this Thursday (July 8th), 6PM-8PM GMT on the wonderful The Painter’s Radio Show on the London-based Xtream East Radio. Check it out! It is a really cool show, for those of you who haven’t been listening. So keep your ears open and you might even get addicted. Hehe.

You can listen online, just head on over to to XStream Radio’s Website, you have the LISTEN LIVE button on the top right side of the page.

I am now on CdBaby

If you head on over to the Modern Folk genre page at CdBaby, the very first thing you will see there is my album art at the new arrivals tab. This won’t be for very long though – it is however very comforting to have my album shoved into the faces of all those CdBaby visitors who like this genre of music – my album art will be displayed there for only 24 hours. After that it will slowly slip downwards on the New Arrivals tab. What this means is, after this had happened, it will be totally up to me to make it stand out of the clutter. Here’s how you can help me out:

Head on over to the Monsters In Rome album page at CdBaby.com and submit a review of the album. Normally, this is only done by people who have already purchased the record, but anybody visiting my website has had the chance to listen to my entire album, not just song 15 second snippets (like on iTunes or most other digital outlets) so you are more than qualified to review it. I don’t necessarily want you to kiss my talent, it’s totally fine if you write hilariously bad things too – just say something.

I will let you know when the album reaches iTunes, it should happen withing the next 3 weeks or so.

BTW: Have you seen my new video? I’m performing a totally acoustic live version of Down Slow on YouTube. Check it out!

Pre-listen to the album!

I am looking for a few “volunteers” to give my album a pre-listen, and share their opinion on the songs, the recordings and the arrangements, etc. I am doing this because I’ve been cooked up in the studio with these songs for a very long time now, and I am totally deaf when it comes to making any more adjustments. I also need your opinions on the final track list (as not all songs are created equal, not all will make it).
Ok, now for some requirements: you need to be a huge music fan in general, and you especially need to like indie folk. I won’t be insulted by any opinion, I really want honest feedback.
I am sending out the CDs to a few of my musician friends later on this month, so if you would like to be one of the people to pre-listen, contact me and I will send you the un-mastered album, which you can keep.
FOR THIS, you will also receive a free copy of the album once the CDs arrive from the press, way before the actual release date.

So let me know.
