Personal Disaster Video & More

Posted by admin On May - 31 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

We are in the process of shooting a video for the song “Personal Disaster” from my “Monsters In Rome” record. The idea has been gestating for a while but now it is time to get it done.

Listen to the song below:

Toth Orsolya from SpotFilm will be in charge of all production and filming for the “Personal Disaster” video – script and direction by Victor Olăhuţ.

While I will not yet reveal the content of the video itself or any of the underlying ideas behind the script, I do advise you to download the “Monsters In Rome” record if you haven’t yet had the chance to, and, more importantly, listen to the song “Personal Disaster”. I have released this album in 2010 and there is already one video circulating on YouTube, for “Afraid Not Scared”, but no other videos have been made for songs from this album. Which is a shame, because I truly think I have a few gems on here.

Watch the video for “Afraid Not Scared” below:

My music to be featured in the film “Lie With Me”

Songs from this record are about to receive even more attention this year, as the film “Lie With Me” by Jamison Brandi will feature acoustic versions of 6 tracks from “Monsters In Rome”. The film will also feature the songs “Cold Sun” and “Be A Wolf” – never before released. I will tell you more about this feature film very shortly, but this is all the information I can provide at the moment. That and the fact that I am really excited to have this opportunity – the film is still in post-production but I can hardly wait to see the final results!

On tour this summer with the “Fisura” play

There is one more important project for this year: I have written and recorded a few songs for a play and released “The Crack (Musical)” in March, 2012. The music was for the play “Fisura” by Flavius Lucăcel, directed by Victor Olăhuţ and…well… we are going on tour with it this summer. There are a lot of interesting aspects to this project, but the most important one is the fact that our venues are a bit unusual for this kind of theater: we are going to perform our musical play in several villages around Transylvania and our theater space will be constructed in the barns, sheds of the villagers. A documentary film will be made to capture the spirit of the entire tour and document the reactions of the public. I sense this will be a really fun project and I couldn’t be happier to take part!

“Monsters In Rome” Physical CDs Ran Out

That’s it, boys and girl. There are no more Physical CDs for my “Monsters In Rome” record left. I have released the record 15 months ago, and I have no more CDs left. That’s it!

You can still get the music by downloading it from my music page – it is absolutely free.

If you want to give me money anyway, you can do so by donating. I am really happy to receive donations, as I have more to spend on advertising and getting the word out there.

You can also share the music by choosing a player from the Share/Embed link on the music page. You should get a player something like the one above to share on your Facebook, blog or website. Thanks for the support!

As a bonus, I’ve put the ‘Jabulani‘ single back on the site for free download. In memory of the FIFA World Cup of 2010.

Monsters In Rome

Most musicians can get from one album to the next just like that. It seems like that is not the case with me. I have been promoting my “Monsters In Rome” record for more than a year now, though I have a few songs ready for recording already. There are more and more ideas coming that keep me in place, every other day there is a new thing that comes to mind which can be done with all the things associated with this record.

For once, we have Liszto, the webcomic for musicians with the latest episode (No. 13, mind you!), titled “The Inspiration“, which features the artwork of Monsters.

Liszto, The Inspiration

Also, I will be promoting some of the songs from the record in a series of live shows very soon now (September 16 and 17, that is). I also have to mention that I will be performing with two friends of mine, who will be accompanying me on base and drums. I am hoping for some really strong shows with the rhythm section backing me up like this!

I haven’t given up on the video for the song “Monsters In Rome” either. Ideas are still being tossed back and forth regarding as to how we will actually get this done, but it will be done, I’m sure.

That is it for now. We are working hard on the 4 shows we will be playing on the 16th and 17th, so I might not be able to blog about anything until then.

Bye.

Happy Halloween!

It’s November everyone! As I promised, the free downloading of my Monsters In Rome record, which I have been offering for a whole month, will now stop. I hope you enjoyed it, the response to this campaign was up to my expectations, so I am not at all sorry for thinking about it. I will most likely have other campaigns of this sort in the future. In order to keep yourself informed, I recommend subscribing to my newsletter.
The Monsters In Rome album is still available for purchase or for free streaming right here on the website. If you wish to buy Compact Discs, I still have some from my LIMITED EDITION edition, and I am glad to personalize them for you, if you wish. The digital version of the album is also still up for grabs, I decided to keep it on a name-your-price basis, with a minimum price of 3$. Hope you understand.
In the meantime, I will be working away on an alternative Christmas album, you will get to see the results soon enough.

IN OTHER NEWS: Monsters In Rome seems to be a good Halloween track as it has been featured in two round-ups around the web, and The Mad Mackerel has also included it on a Best Of October mix.
