Scruffy, Indie folk-rock from Transylvania

Indie Folker is very much like Iron & Wine without the iron or Noah And The Whale without the whale… In plain: music inspired by the folkers and anti-folkers, or in a broader spectrum: indie folk, homemade acoustic pop or just plain old folk rock music from the bird house. Drawing comparison to such imaginary singers and performers such as: Tom Waits on high heels, a more scrupulous and much younger Bob Dylan, a low-tuned Elliot Smith with an aching throat, a less-british Damien Rice – but longing to be more like David Gray on a regular day -, transylvanian-based artist Indie Folker writes scruffy tunes for the underprivileged cool kids of the Internet Generation.

You can’t find him playing in the streets and clubs of America just yet, but he does occasionally tour in Europe, and he does want you to contact him about hosting an in-house gig in your home, cabin, garage or whatever private space you have available. You can also recommend his music to your local press, blogger friends or help book a slot in your local pub or cafe.

Some video proof does exist that he occasionally leaves his lair in order to perform. Most recently he’s been spotted playing in a home somewhere near you.

Join him and his nutty companions on their adventure towards ambiguous internet stardom!

You can hop on the virtual looney-bus by contributing or getting in touch to help organize a gig in your area.

“Indie Folker is a trademark of the stream nothingness that’s creeping in my head…”
